If seeking psychotherapy you may be experiencing unease or dissatisfaction within your self, your relationship/s, or with your life as a whole... This may have been brought to a head by a crisis, or a feeling the time is now right to face and deal with whatever you have been attempting to ignore. Or perhaps a dawning realisation that your life is precious to you, perhaps that time and opportunity are passing, and you are now resolved to engage in the process required to feel really here and  alive, to be who you truly are, and make your moments meaningful.

psychotherapy assists the inner journey of your life. You choose for your personal work to deepen. This work involves your whole self, you whole being. Those who wish to engage in the process of psychotherapy, which is the work of gradual integration and authentic being. psychotherapy reaches into the ‘roots in the ground’ as well as the ‘foliage’. Those who feel ready for the effort required, for a more challenging and profoundly rewarding process, will choose psychotherapy.

psychotherapy will assist and support you in exploring where you are, how you are, and who you are; also, who you are with and the relationship created between you, together with your feelings, thoughts, and your way ahead. psychotherapy encourages self-awareness, self-empowerment and self-actualisation... helping you help yourself change what isn’t or doesn’t feel right for you. psychotherapy will encourage and guide you to really ‘listen’ into your being, you will hear your own underlying questions - and notice your own answers emerge. In this way, you are invited to engage in what is potentially a profoundly healingful transformative process.

TRANSPERSONAL + INTEGRATIVE psychotherapy

My psychotherapeutic approach is transpersonal with an integrative foundation: and contains a synthesis of concepts and practices from various traditions and emergent models. The therapeutic relationship at its core, transpersonal-integrative psychotherapy  considers each person’s whole being – and beyond.

The psychotherapy I offer is designed to support, guide and compassionately challenge. The process of psychotherapy helps build inner clarity and strength, while deepening mind, body, emotional and energy awareness, towards genuine authentic being - in relationship with yourself and with others - and towards a greater sense of inner ease with your self, with others, and life itself.

Jaimie Cahlil

Within the general context of therapy, Jaimie Cahlil draws upon wide experience of working with people of all ages and backgrounds, facing various issues and engaged in all kinds of self-relational processes. Among these are included:

  • personal identity + personal truth/authenticity

  • relationship issues - partner/children/parents:  truth/trust/true intimacy, separation... (also, social/work-related issues)

  • issues of mood/emotion/mind imbalance (anxiety and/or depressive and/or dissociative states)

  • serious/chronic illness

  • the idea or prospect of death and dying – personal/another’s/emotional/existential

  • bereavement/grief

  • general sense of loss and/or loss of self/direction

  • low self-confidence, low self-esteem

  • sexual orientation issues

  • gender issues – gender dysphoria/reassignment...

  • emotional and body-held symptoms

  • childhood/adult (physical and/or sexual) abuse

  • disturbing memories/flash-backs/deep-rooted psychological unease/automatic reactions

  • dreams – unusual/troubling, inspiring/healing, predictive, transcendent...

  • existential crisis – loss of/search for ‘meaning’

Whatever issue and/or state of being a person brings to therapy, attention to the deeper relationship with their self at core is profoundly beneficial. Engaging in therapy may be viewed as an investment in the real quality of life, now and hereafter.
